My name is Stephanie and I am a floral designer at Electric City Conservatory.

I started "unofficially" in the floral design world by picking wildflowers in Wisconsin. During the summer months no daisy, lilac or peony was safe within my reach! With a mother that had a green thumb, I quickly picked up the knowledge I needed for my first floral/greenhouse job. I was hired at my first flower shop in 2002, in central Minnesota, arranging small designs and working in the bedding plant greenhouse of that shop. Knowing nothing of techniques, I hit the ground running from there. The following year I moved to a new location and was lucky enough to get a position delivering for a shop and again arranging designs when deliveries were slow. Going nowhere in that area, I moved yet again just north of Minneapolis-St. Paul. There I acquired a part-time position designing with a shop that had just opened for business. Working with only the owner, the business---as well as I began to blossom! Those couple of years at the shop I learned more than ever before. Still longing for adventure, I moved to Big Sky Country. After some odd jobs, I was hired at Electric City Conservatory and have been employed here for a little over a year.
